Binary™ EDID Learning Device for use with B-300-HDMATRIX SwitchersEver have that one customer-supplied TV that gave you fits when integrating it with an HDMI switcher or extender? This B-300-HDMATRIX-ELD is an EDID learner that can be a life-saver when connecting legacy TVs via the 1-CAT HDMI output of our B-300 matrix switchers.
What Does It Do?There can be rare cases, like with legacy TVs or some odd EDID configurations, when you need to be able to learn the EDID to set a compatible resolution and audio format. When using the 1-CAT output from a B-300 switcher you do this using this EDID Learning Device (ELD), which captures the EDID directly from the TV and allows you to copy it into the matrix.
How to Use It?Capturing the TV's EDID is simple. Just plug in the ELD to the TV and power everything up. When the light blinks, simply take the small ELD box to the matrix and fire up your computer to extract and/or and assign it. But enough talking about it, it's a lot easier to just show you. Check out the "how to" video.
Build a LibraryUsing the ELD and software utility you can save the EDID configurations of your displays to the PC for easy reference on another job. It's like building a library of IR files - except you’re storing the resolution and audio format capabilities of the TV instead of the remote codes.
Engineered by SnapAVUnder the hood is an engineer’s paradise! Surface-mount, high speed circuits (up to 6.5 Gbps) are built on a multi-layer board to give you reliable learning of current and future EDID codes. "Engineered by SnapAV" – it’s not just a saying, it’s what we do.
