Exceptional low frequency responsiveness is made possible in the 500 series thanks to an injection-molded polypropylene woofer. The high-pressure liquid injection process results in a lighter, stronger material that produces clear detailed bass. The ES-500s 1" fabric dome tweeter delivers smooth, natural high frequency performance. This driver combination excels with both spoken and musical content.
Perfect for in-wall surround sound LCR installations. Also great for side and rear surround speakers. Can be mounted vertically for left and right channels and horizontally for center channel. Fits horizontally between standard 16" off center studs.
In multi-room audio installations, no two rooms are alike. Floor coverings, drapes, windows and furniture all impact how a speaker sounds in a room. With the ES-500, you can quickly adjust the tweeter's output by 3db to compensate for rooms with more or less sound absorbing materials.
We don't over-engineer the construction of Episode speakers just so that they survive bouncing around in your van (although that's important). Our build quality also eliminates one of the most common problems in architectural speaker designs-secondary speaker resonance that "colors" the sound and reduces fidelity. All you'll hear is accurate, detailed sound without the distortion.
Quick snug dogs, gold-plated push button wire terminations, easy magnet held rust-proof aluminum grill and cutout template all make this the standard for installation ease.

The frequency response curve shows the Sound Pressure Level (SPL) at a 1 meter (3.28 feet) distance from the speaker at all frequencies (Freq) in the audible range 20 HZ - 20,000 Hz (20K).
