Our flagship in-wall subwoofer is the culmination of world-class engineering and uncompromising component selection. Each 8" Woven Fiberglass Sandwich woofer features a Nomex Spider and oversized voicecoil for unparalleled accuracy and low-end response. The system is enclosed in an easy to install sealed backbox to deliver low-distortion, high-impact bass for mid- to high-end home theater and two-channel applications.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The ES-SUB-IW-DUAL8 requires the use of an amplifier which is sold separately. We recommend the Episode EA-AMP-1D-500 Digital Amplifier. For more information, refer to the EA-AMP-SUB-1D-500 or the kit we've created for easy ordering.

Included to tune and optimize the subwoofer for its companion amplifier, the active EQ is to be inserted between the receiver and amplifier as shown below:
Our included cutout template makes it easy install the subwoofer cabinet assembly into new or existing construction. No need to tear up the entire wall to install a large preconstruction backbox – ours is already attached to the speaker. To clamp it into place, just zip in the dog toggles like any in-wall speaker!
A ¾" MDF backbox creates the rigid foundation required for serious bass! While the performance may dust the competition, you can rock the party knowing that your walls won’t turn to dust.
Rubber pads are included to "decouple" the subwoofer from the drywall behind the cabinet and any surrounding wall studs. This isolates the cabinet to reduce vibration and adjacent room noise.
**The Episode subwoofer includes EQ box, power supply, magnetic aluminum grill, Y-Adapter cable, anti-vibration foam inserts, cardboard cutout templates and installation instructions.
