The Episode® Power UPS (EP-400-UPS-8HTR-1000) with surge/lightning protection is packed with features that appeal to any A/V Enthusiast. Whether your working on a home theater or whole-house system, this model has the features most requested in the industry. We took a commercial rack-mount UPS product and revised it with essentials for an audio, video, and whole-house system integration installation. The UPS provides a pure sine wave waveform and full automatic voltage regulation (AVR) to prevent costly interruptions. And we've given this model 1000 VAC and 700 watts. Plus, the assurance of 1874 Joules of surge/lightning protection, backed with our protection guarantee.


Protect Against Voltage Fluctuations with Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) Technology
Keep equipment operating safely with an automatic voltage regulated (AVR) UPS. The technology will prevent any voltage drops below 112 volts and will prevent any spikes or surges above 128 volts. This unit uses Boost/Buck Topology which increases voltage drops and decreases voltages peaks without needing to utilize the battery mode. This is important because having the AVR function without switching to battery mode extends battery life.


Backup Power Design For A/V Enthusiasts
The UPS in this unit generates a pure sine wave of energy that is identical to, and sometimes cleaner, than the utility company's. Any A/V enthusiast will appreciate this because the benefits contribute to low total harmonic distortion, minimal electrical noise, and optimal line clarity.

Automatic Voltage Regulation Management Meets Snap's GEMtech™ Criteria
The patented design cuts the unit's energy costs up to 75% compared to a conventional UPS unit with AVR. Conventional UPS systems pass power through an AVR transformer to provide normal output voltage to protected devices. This method is highly inefficient, resulting in excessive energy costs and unwanted heat. By contrast, the circuitry in the Episode® units bypass the transformer when utility power is normal. As a result, the unit uses less energy and emits less heat. When utility power is abnormal, the unit operates like a normal UPS with the AVR feature. Since utility power operates normally 88% of the time, the unit operates in the cost cutting mode. The estimated savings on electricity amounts to about $60 per year.

Products to be repaired under this warranty must be returned to SnapAV or a designated service center with prior notification and an assigned return authorization number (RA).
