However, thieves are more inclined to go for the easy score when time is of the essence. That's where the Strong™ SM-LOCKSET-M fits in. It's a steel rod and keyed lock set for the SM-F-M and SM-T-M mounts to help deter thefts, and is designed to be for an easy install with the low profile nature. If you install a lot of mounts, especially in commercial applications, this solution is key to keep prying hands away.
Single Locking Rod/Lock
The locking tabs on the Strong SM-F/T-M mounts are a fantastic method to keep mounts secured to the plate, but the low profile design can be tricky to get to and then lock. So we're killing two birds with one stone: a single, long rod that slides throughout the arms, and locking tabs that not only make accessibility easier, but use only a single lock to keep the rod from being removed.
One Key Fits All
Just because you're installing a lot of mounts, it doesn't mean you have to carry around a big set of spare keys for all the locks. We've made multiple panel installations a snap with a universal key that will work on every mount. In cases where a universal lock isn't ideal, any padlock with at least a 3.3mm (just over 1/8" inch) shackle will do the trick.
