B-400-1COAX-HDIR Audio Compatibility:
Please note that the B-400-1COAX-HDIR does not pass uncompressed audio unless it is at a sample rate of 48Khz. While this is the expected sample rate for stereo from Satellite, Cable, DVDs and Blu-ray discs, some internet sources use different sample rates such as 44.1. Because of the limitation of the underlying technology used on the B-400-1COAX-HDIR extender, it is not possible to pass audio from these sources.
Pandora and other internet radio sources such as Slacker, some Netflix content and some game consoles are known to have problems. If you are planning to deliver audio / video content from game consoles or internet sources we do not recommend use of the B-400-1COAX-HDIR.
Samsung Blu-Ray Issues:
Our testing has found that the Samsung BD-C6900 and BD-P3600 Blu-Ray players are not compatible when using the HD-2CAT-130 extenders at 130 feet. During our testing we did see some success when using these players with our HD-2CAT-130 at distances less than 80 feet. We have found that theTDMS output signal of these players is weaker than other brands, which causes communication issues at longer distances.
One solution to this problem is to use our B-200-1CAT-HDIR or B-200-5COAX-HD products which condition and retransmit the TDMS signals. We recommend using the B-200-5COAX-HD which has exceptional immunity to interference, reliability at long distance (250’), high bandwidth to support current and future 3D capability, and IR pass-throughfor receivers and emitters.
Samsung TV Issues:
We have also found that some Samsung TVs also have issues with 1080p-60 when using CAT5 HDMI extenders. One solution is to change the setting of the HDMI source to 1080p-24 which worked with all products in our test lab. You can also use our B-200-5COAX-HD product that will work at 1080p-60 with the SamsungTVs.
Surround Receivers Issues:
Many receivers in the market with HDMI 1.3 switching are not compatible with 3D TV. Please be sure to bypass any surround receivers that are not 3D compatible. Our B-210-HDMATRIX-4X4 is capable of switching 3D and can offer a great solution if your receiver is not 3D compatible.
