Designed as a cost-effective, easy to install solution for heavy-duty residential or commercial installations, the Atlona AT-UHD-SW-51 is a 5x1 HDMI switcher with auto-switching and advanced control capability. It supports 4K @ 60Hz with 4:2:0 color, offers 3D pass-through, and 10.2 Gbps bandwidth. With front panel buttons and IR control, it can be a standalone switcher, but also offers a web-based GUI for easy set-up and management of EDID and HDCP. Additional control options include auto-switching, front panel selector, and compatibility with RS-232 or TCP/IP-based control systems. Audio features include de-embedding of PCM audio over HDMI to either S/PDIF or two-channel analog audio outputs; pass-through of Dolby TrueHD® and DTS-HD Master Audio™; plus an Audio Return Channel feed to the S/PDIF output from the HDMI display. The compact, 1U, half-rack width enclosure is easily installed in rack mounted systems with the 19” rack mount brackets; or, you can mount two units side-by-side.
The SW-51 adds 4K UHD performance to Atlona’s HDMI small switcher family. Now, this switcher meets the needs of displays and sources with resolutions beyond 1080p, up to 4K@60Hz 4:2:0 and HDCP 1.4. It’s compatible with Ultra High Definition sources and displays, and easily handles high-resolution applications like CAD, desktop publishing, or detailed financial reporting. Please note: this switcher does not support HDCP 2.2 devices.
Via HDMI and ARC technology, you can now use the same cable to return audio from the remote display to the S/PDIF or analog audio outputs. ARC-enabled smart TVs transmit audio back to an AV receiver through a single HDMI input cable.
Using hot-plug-detect and video detection technology, this switcher automatically selects the active input when sources are connected or if there is a change in source power status. This ensures reliable auto-switching operation for all video sources, including DVRs, DisplayPort / Mini DisplayPort adapters, and other devices that always maintain the HPD line at the 5 volt “high” state but may not be delivering active video.
In order to reduce integration time and costs, this switcher includes a variety of flexible control options compatible with 3rd-party control systems, including TCP/IP, RS-232, IR, and more. Overall control system neutrality also allows you to save significant install time.
Because this switch manages EDID communications between a source and destination, it allows integrators to force sources to preferred resolutions. Desired audio formats and video resolutions are now provided to the AV system, eliminating the need for a separate EDID management device.
Switch HDCP compliance on/off in order to use this switcher with non-compliant displays, streaming devices, and codecs. This feature enables non-protected material from PCs to be passed to non-compliant displays and teleconference systems, while protected content stays safe and is not transmitted.
Using an integrated web server, this switcher offers a menu-based configuration of network settings so you can configure internal product settings fast in the field. Customize RS-232 settings, input switching, EDID, HDCP management and audio from any device; this switcher allows you to configure or troubleshoot settings from a tablet, smartphone, or PC.
