This extender delivers 4K on a budget. Our most affordable HDBaseT extender, the B-540-EXT-230-IR transmits video at up to 4K@60Hz 4:2:0 up to 130’ and full 1080p HD up to 230’ for use in a versatile system. Plus, it’s compatible with HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2, as well as 7.1 channels of lossless audio over a single Cat 5e/6 cable. Bi-directional Power over Cable (POC) eliminates the need to fit a bulky power supply behind the TV, saving valuable install time, while “plug and play” technology bypasses frustrating EQ and EDID settings. With HDBaseT technology, this extender also supports bi-directional IR control for integration into control systems.
This extender offers full support of 4K@60Hz (4:2:0) and 4K@30Hz (4:4:4). Compatible with HDMI 2.0/HDCP 2.2 products, it also provides robust support for full 1080p HD, Deep Color 36bit, and HDMI® 3D, as well as a variety of audio types such as Dolby® Atmos, Dolby® True HD, Dolby® Digital Plus, DTX™-X, DTS™-HD Master and LPCM audio formats. The cornerstone of HDBaseT technology is the capability to reliably extend more than just HDMI audio and video. This extender passes video, audio, and bi-directional IR all through a single category cable. It has greater RF immunity, so you get a better and more reliable signal, plus, it's easier to install because you don’t have to fiddle with any EQ or EDID settings. Just plug and play and you're on your way to faster and easier media distribution.
No room for a bulky power supply behind the TV or in a rack? No problem. Using Bi-Directional Power over Cable (POC), you can send power over the same category cable that extends your video, audio, and control signals. This means you only need one power supply - and you can put it at the head end or display to get it completely out of the way. Plus, the extender features screw-down power plugs to prevent getting service calls about plugs that fell out of the outlet. Now those are some real reasons to celebrate!
Space is tight. That’s why this extender comes with removable mounting ears, making it easier to mount in traditional small spaces – like behind the TV or in a breadbox. The extender pair is perfectly sized so the receiver even fits inside the media bay of a Veranda-series SunBriteTV.
Thanks to bi-directional IR, you can easily send IR signals from the TV location back to cable boxes, DVD players, and other source equipment at the head end. IR connections feature active circuitry that supports a wide variety of IR and control system types.
Forget about wasting precious install time running back and forth, fiddling with transmitter and receiver settings, and struggling to get a good picture. With this extender kit there are no EQ or EDID settings required – all you do is plug and play.
Intelligent circuit design, perfected through extensive hardware testing, has resulted in a robust product with excellent ESD and surge protection that exceeds CE Level 3 standards. During development, During development, every connection is zapped with an ESD gun at 15KV and surges up to 1600V, so worrying about static shock becomes a thing of the past.

This Binary™ product has a 2-year limited Warranty. This warranty includes parts and labor repairs on all components found to be defective in material or workmanship under normal conditions of use. This warranty will not apply to products that have been abused, modified or disassembled. Products to be repaired under this warranty must be returned to Snap One or a designated service center with prior notification and an assigned return authorization number (RA).
