Binary™ 320 Series 1080p over 1CAT Extender with IR (In-Wall RX)
As displays get thinner and thinner, finding places behind the screen to hide HDMI extenders and power supplies gets tougher and tougher. Cut the clutter and get a cleaner install with the Binary™ Single Cat 5e/6 HDMI 3D Extender. It transmits full HDMI 3D and bidirectional IR up to 130’ over a single Cat5e/6 cable. The recessed, in-wall receiver makes the most out of the shrinking space behind TVs, providing room for bulky connectors. It even has a remote powering option to eliminate the need for a power supply behind the TV.

Remote Powering
If there's no outlet near your receiver, you can remotely power the extender. Everything you need is in the box - the removable screw terminal and the female power supply adapter - so just add a 16- or 18-gauge 2-conductor wire, and you're ready go. The power supply can easily go in a rack or other out-of-the-way place.

Perfect Fit
Having more options is never a bad thing. That’s why this wall plate receiver is specifically designed to fit any single-gang J-box. It comes with a basic white decora plate, but you can swap it out for whatever color matches the install.
Built In ESD & Surge Protection
Intelligent circuit design, perfected through extensive hardware testing, has resulted in a very robust product with excellent ESD and surge protection that exceeds CE Level 3 standards. During development, they were hit with ESD at 15KV and surges up to 2500V.
HDMI® (with 3D)
This extender offers full support of HDMI® (with 3D), Deep Color and HDCP 2.0, as well as support for Dolby® True HD, Dolby® Digital Plus, DTS™-HD Master and LPCM audio formats.
Bi-Directional IR
Over the same CAT5e cable, you can easily send commands from a control system to the TV – and simultaneously control DVD players, cable boxes and other source equipment from the TV location.
Locking Power Plug
Our in-line power supply has a screw lock to secure the power to the unit. No more worries about service calls just because the plug fell out when the TV was moved.

Audio & Video
- I am experiencing a momentary loss of picture when certain household items power on. How can I fix this? This issue is caused by electromagnetic interference. If standard connectors are being used on a shielded cable, change to shielded connectors. If shielded category wire and connectors are in place, make sure that continuity of the shield is maintained from the shielded connector on one side to the shielded connector on the other side. If the wiring is not shielded, consider running a shielded cable. See the HDMI Distribution Best Practices document for more information on preventing picture issues.
- When using an HDMI extender I am seeing "sparkles" in the picture on the display.Typically this is caused by long lengths of HDMI cable. We recommend minimizing this length to 1 meter or less.
- How do I add additional emitters to the single emitter output of the HDMI extender?By using an IR1x4 or IR 2x6 block, a mono cable , and as many IRF-1's or -2's as you need to flash each of your connected devices. Connect the mono cable to the flasher out port on the B-200-1CAT-HDIR, connect the mono-stereo adaptor included with the extender to the end of the mono cable, and plug the other end of the adaptor into the receiver port on the IR block.
- Does the IR on a HDIR series of extenders output on the same end as it is input? No. The IR passes from one end to the other but does not output on the same end.
- Does this HDMI extender support 3D?Yes. The maximum supported distance for 3D currently is 65 feet. See the Manual for details on setting the unit to pass 3D.
- Do your extenders automatically reset after a power outage? All of our HDMI extenders (1 cat and HDBaseT) automatically reset after power failures, restoring signal without the need to manually cycle power.
- Is it necessary to use 1m or less cables at the transmit & receive ends of the extenders? While not critical for proper operation, we strongly recommend 1 meter or shorter, high speed rated HDMI cables. This is to ensure steady picture reproduction and reliability. If any issues arise with longer HDMI cables, change them to 1 meter or less before any other troubleshooting.
- Why do you recommend using shielded CAT5 wire with your extenders?Shielded wire and connectors greatly improve noise rejection, which enhances performance and minimizes the chance of signal dropouts. See the "HDMI Distribution Best Practices" document for more information on preventing picture issues.
- Is it acceptable to use pre-made CAT5 patch cables with your extenders? We do not recommend premade patch cables because of the limited bandwidth resulting from the the use of stranded wire in their construction.
- Do the EZ style RJ-45 connectors really make a difference when installing HDMI extenders?Yes, they can be easily wiggled loose, causing a short or an improper connection.
- EDID learning (mode 7) is not working with Samsung displays. On Samsung displays, we recommend mode 1 for standard viewing or mode 6 for 3D. See the Installation Manual for complete instructions on setting the EDID mode correctly.
- Do you have to use the 568B standard with our non-HDBaseT-T extenders? While not critical for proper operation, we strongly recommend 568B terminations due to the amount of bandwidth needed to transmit HDMI signal. The pin out is printed on the bottom of each piece of the extender for easy reference.
