In 1946, Paul W. Klipsch, genius, madman, and maverick, set out to bring live music into his living room. The sound reproduction he envisioned didn’t exist, so he designed and hand-built his legendary Klipschorn speaker in a tiny tin shed in Hope, Arkansas. The result was an original technology that brought a fully-immersive sound experience in an innovative product line for all to enjoy.

Paul W. Klipsch achieved his objective by making the Klipschorn - a fully horn-loaded design that established industry standards for high sensitivity, wide dynamic range, low distortion, smooth frequency response and powerful bass.

As a result, horn loading has always been, and will always be, the driving force behind the highly efficient, stunningly precise sound of Klipsch speakers.
