Wave 2 AC

Install the latest technology with the next iteration of Wi-Fi AC. Wave 2 AC permits multiple users to talk to the access point simultaneously (MU-MIMO) and allows the access point to handle more communication, producing less congestion on the network and offering support for higher throughput. This feature makes the Araknis 510-Series WAP perfect for high-density networks that need to handle more wireless devices.

Stylish Round Design

We heard your requests for a round access point, and we’ve delivered. The 510-Series boasts a sleek form factor that blends in wherever it’s placed. You can mix and match with the 500-Series square WAPs to suit any customer’s aesthetic preferences. We even created a unique installation method that allows for easy slotting.

Powerful Performance

With 2.4 and 5GHz radio signals running concurrently, you have more availability for traffic and less chance for a frustrating, slow connection. With 2x2:2 Wave 2 AC antenna, your clients will get a reliable connection and incredible speed up to 1300Mbps aggregate. With so much speed and power at the ready, these WAPs handle 4K streaming and multiple HD displays with ease.

As part of the 802.11ac standard, chipset-based beamforming automatically directs the wireless signal toward heavily used clients, maximizing signal strength and minimizing side noise on every device.

PoE Powered

You don’t need to run extra wiring to power this WAP. Simply plug in your existing category cable by utilizing the 802.3at standard, and you’ll be powered up and ready to go.

Fast Roaming Capability

Fast Roaming allows for a quick and seamless transition between multiple wireless access points. The location-based triangulation helps determine the closest and strongest AP, then automatically connects your device.

Complete Wi-Fi Management

With Araknis and OvrC, your customers can easily manage their wireless devices. Easy-to-set up user profiles allow users to schedule and restrict Wi-Fi access as they see fit. And unlike competitors who require a separate box or third-party service, OvrC uses the native capabilities of the WAP, so you get full control and flexibility. Learn more about Wi-Fi management >>

Discreet & Elegant

The low-profile design of the 510-Series makes this a WAP you’ll be proud to show off to your customers. This WAP fits flush with the ceiling or wall so you can’t see the mounting plate. The blue LED is embedded within the access point, making for a diffused light that doesn’t draw your customer’s eyes.

Additional Ports

The 510-Series WAP has two ports, giving you a network out port directly at the site, like behind a TV or junction box.

Araknis Networks® now has a complete solution.

Features & Support

  • Why do the X10 APs not have band steering?
Actually our team does plan on rolling out an advanced band-steering in the near future!

However, in the meanwhile, we have removed our old implementation of band steering from the device to improve the overall stability and interoperability of installs. This is in light of a growing IoT market with more and more client devices choosing their wireless band rather than responding to the AP.

When we release it, our advanced band steering implementation will dynamically adjust for the evolving market.
  • Does fast roaming work between Legacy APs(500/700) and the new X10 APs?
Yes! We are happy to report that fast roaming when enabled should work seamlessly between models.
  • Setup & Installation

  • Why can't I access the WAP from the default configuration address? (,,, or
Check the following things to make sure you are ready for EZ Access:

    1. Disconnect any network cables from your computer.

    2. Make sure your wireless NIC is set to DHCP mode and has an address on the same subnet as your WAP.

    3. Check to be sure the network router has an active DHCP server to give your WAP a new IP address.

    4. Connect your computer to the SSID araknis_initial and log in to the GUI by typing,,, or into the URL bar.
  • Why can't I access the WAP from the default configuration address? (,
Our team decided during the development process to remove this feature as other access methods are both widely available and more secure than this particular method.

For this reason – please refer to the Quick Start Guide for the standard methods of access (OvrC, DHCP/Static Address).
  • How do I remove the cable bay door once the AP is fully installed?
Good question! Actually, the cable bay door slides off with the unit when you remove it from the bracket. To ensure it doesn’t jettison too quickly – lightly place a hand/finger against the bay door while removing the AP.
  • Why are CAT5 jumper cables included in package?
These are to ensure ease of install when dealing with thicker gauge cabling, such as CAT6A. Please refer to the QSG for when to use the jumper cables.
  • Should band-steering be used on installs involving both Legacy and X10 APs?
While technically this can still work, we recommend disabling band-steering across the site when using these two generations of APs together.
  • Is my WAP OvrC-ready out of the box?
Yes, but we recommend checking for new firmware on OvrC at the beginning of every installation to guarantee that you get all the latest features.
  • There are several MAC addresses visible in my WAP interface. Which one do I use to add it to OvrC?
Use the “Eth MAC" Address, and not the “2.4G MAC” or “5G MAC”
  • What WAP models are OvrC-supported?
    OvrC supports the 100, 300, 500, 700 and X10 series Araknis Access Points (AN-100-AP-I-N, AN-300-AP-I-N, AN-500-AP-I-AC, AN-700-AP-I-AC, AN-510-AP-I-AC and AN-810-AP-I-AC)
