Works well for keypads, dimmers, switches, or fan speed controllers. For traditional style engraved buttons, a sensor bar optimized for improved ambient light sensor performance is shipped with each set of traditional engraved keycaps. The outer surfaces of the sensor bar’s light pipe are painted to reduce keycap backlighting from interfering with the function of the ambient light sensor.
For Contemporary style buttons, the light sensor bar shipped with each Contemporary device should be used and is optimized for use with Contemporary buttons and faceplates. No additional light sensor bar is shipped with Contemporary engraved buttons.
