Fast Roaming Capability

Fast Roaming allows for a quick and seamless transition between multiple wireless access points. The location-based triangulation helps determine the closest and strongest AP, then automatically connects your device.

Powerful Performance

With 2.4 and 5 GHz radio signals running concurrently, you have more availability for traffic and less chance for a frustrating, slow connection. As an added convenience, we’ve included band steering, so the WAP will automatically position 5GHz clients onto that respective radio signal, decreasing congestion on the 2.4 GHz radio and providing the best user experience possible. Combined this with a 3x3:3 Wireless-AC antenna, and you’ll provide clients will incredible speed and a reliable connection.


As part of the 802.11ac standard, chipset-based beamforming automatically directs the wireless signal toward heavily used clients, maximizing signal strength and minimizing side noise on every device.

Installer Friendly

This WAP's square shape gives it the versatility to suit ceiling- or wall-mounted applications. Each WAP comes with a mounting plate to fit both single-gang or double-gang outlets. Plus, we made our mounting holes arched - just give the device a quick swivel. A mounting template is also included in the box, and for mounting to a dropped ceiling, we’ve included a backing plate.


No need to run extra wiring to power this WAP. Simply plug in your existing Category cable and you’ll be powered up and ready to go.

Features & Support

  • What all can I do with my WAP using OvrC?
    Using the OvrC app, you can monitor the status, upgrade the firmware, view the client list, see visualized Network traffic and device statistics, as well as do basic configuration of the WAP. Basic configuration includes aspects like adding/editing SSIDs, toggling band steering, time settings, and IP settings. For most installs you won’t even need to access the local UI of the device in order to configure it; OvrC makes it simplified and convenient to configure your WAPs anywhere!

  • Why can't I access the WAP from the default configuration address? (,,, or
    Check the following things to make sure you are ready for EZ Access:

    1. Disconnect any network cables from your computer.

    2. Make sure your wireless NIC is set to DHCP mode and has an address on the same subnet as your WAP.

    3. Check to be sure the network router has an active DHCP server to give your WAP a new IP address.

    4. Connect your computer to the SSID araknis_initial and log in to the GUI by typing,,, or into the URL bar.
  • Is my WAP OvrC-ready out of the box?
    Yes, but we recommend checking for new firmware on OvrC at the beginning of every installation to guarantee that you get all the latest features.
  • There are several MAC addresses visible in my WAP interface. Which one do I use to add it to OvrC?
    Use the “Eth MAC" Address, and not the “2.4G MAC” or “5G MAC”
  • What WAP models are OvrC-supported?
    OvrC supports the 100, 300, 500, 700 and X10 series Araknis Access Points (AN-100-AP-I-N, AN-300-AP-I-N, AN-500-AP-I-AC, AN-700-AP-I-AC, AN-510-AP-I-AC and AN-810-AP-I-AC)
  • Why is my WAP not saving changes I make?
    When you make changes to any page in the WAP interface, you must first click the Save button on that page. After all settings are complete, you must click Apply Changes in the left menu and approve the changes on that page before they take effect. We know it can take extra time to change a setting here or there, but this feature can save a lot of time when completing first time setup. Time is saved because you can apply settings all at once instead of having to apply and load with each altered menu page.

2-Year Limited Warranty

Araknis Networks® products have a 2-Year Limited Warranty. This warranty includes parts and labor repairs on all components found to be defective in material or workmanship under normal conditions of use. This warranty shall not apply to products which have been abused, modified, or disassembled. Products to be repaired under this warranty must be returned to SnapAV or a designated service center with prior notification and an assigned return authorization number (RA).
