Fans turn on and off and also ramp up automatically based on the desired mode/set point.
Simply plug inline between the power supply and fan unit and set the modes. The unit is polarity protected and settings restored if power cycles.

While rated at 2amps, units if properly installed can handle up to 3amps which can power multiple fans with a single controller.
This is a 12V variable voltage controller, it is not PWM, which means it can be used with other 12V fans and devices but it is designed and optimized for use with CCI products.

Cool Components™ offers a Lifetime Warranty on housings and enclosures, 3-Year warranty on fans, and 1-Year warranty on electronics. Products are warranted to be free from defects during this period when operated under normal circumstances and environments with routine maintenance and cleaning. Abuse, faulty cooling system design and installation, harsh environments, and other situations that would lead to premature failure are not covered under warranty. In the event of fan failure, replacement fans will be provided at no charge, and in the event the failure is not covered under warranty, replacement fans can be purchased to cost effectively repair the products. Defective housings and electronics should be returned to Cool Components™ Inc. after completing the RA process.
