Wake/Sleep Timer Added to Halo
The latest firmware auto-updates deliver new features, experiences, and bug fixes to the Halo remotes. Enable the Wake/Sleep Timer so homeowners can personalize their morning and evening routines with custom playlists, lighting, and blinds. Sliders for Shades Experience enables simple, handheld adjustment to shade placement, and “Lock to Room” functionality “locks” Halo to an individual room using Composer Pro.

Introducing the First Security Experience to Halo and Halo Touch
We are excited to announce the initial release of our security features for Halo and Halo Touch. With this update, the "Locks and Sensors" sub-menu in the Security section is now fully accessible. This interface lets your customers view and manage locks, relay devices, and sensors. Stay tuned for future updates as we expand the functionality of the Security menu.

5 Great New Features for the Halo & Halo Touch Remote
Halo Firmware 1.7 delivers powerful new features to enhance your customer’s experience and ensure their remote is always connected for their enjoyment, including:
- Custom Buttons on Halo and Halo Touch unlock the power of Control4 scenes. The push of a button easily adjusts all the Lighting, Audio, Video, Shades, and Thermostats on a project to the precise setting needed for whatever activity. The four menus of up to six buttons each can be accessed by the Custom Buttons option now available in the Room View main menu.
- The What’s New Page feature on Halo and Halo Touch will update with each firmware launch to display a bullet point list of newly added features (and fixes if necessary). A blue dot notification on the UI will disappear after new features are read about in the settings menu.
- The Updated Lighting Experience enhances navigation and control by adding individual load control inside of the list view page without the need to dive into the next page. This means easier dimming and fan speed control on the fly.
- We've made big Battery Life Improvements that will now allow your Halo to last roughly 2x longer off the dock.

Halo Firmware v1.6
Halo Firmware 1.6 doesn’t just update your Halo or Halo Touch remote, it also makes it dynamic! Interact with the main Control4® Experiences – Watch, Listen, Lighting, and Comfort – and see whether the TV in your bedroom is on or off, if the stereo in the family room is still playing, and even if you left the lights on while you’re out to dinner. You can even turn up the thermostat on the drive back, so you’ll be greeted by a warm and cozy home.

The automatic update to firmware v1.5 was released on July 26 for Halo Touch and Halo Remote.
Aside from enabling Halo Touch, this firmware update includes Find My Remote functionality, split Screen Brightness and Keypad Brightness settings, and new programming options for the Halo Remote driver allowing the Custom Buttons and their Digital Labels to change based on any event.

HALO FIRMWARE V1.2
Halo Remotes will automatically download the update over-the-air (OTA) starting March 23rd. This firmware update focused on network reliability and stability improvements, as well as a number of other experience improvements.
New features and bug fixes included in this update:
- Added a Room Off confirmation toggle
- Improved stability of WiFi connections to address persistent "Network Errors" in most configurations
- Resolved scenarios where the Halo screen stays on (doesn't go to sleep) or is blank (doesn't wake up properly)
- Fixed 'Add Rooms' and 'View Queue' on Now Playing page with Sonos as the source
